At the heart of Berkeley Hall lies two core golf courses designed by Tom Fazio. They set Berkeley Hall apart from any other private golf community in the country.
Core golf refers to a golf course that is self-contained, without the intrusion of interior streets and homes or long walks between greens and tees. Berkeley Hall’s North and South courses are surrounded only by natural elements – trees, lakes and pristine Lowcountry marshland – and are ideal for walking. Each course is superbly routed with a seamless blend of balance, variety and flow, are regarded as the most meticulously maintained golf courses in the Southeast.
Berkeley Hall represents pure golf at its finest, a celebration of everything that is great about the game. Every round feels like a walk in the park, rather that a ride through a subdivision.
“Putting is simply, a core golf course is one like much of us played back home, classics like Merion, Winged Foot, Scioto, Pinehurst No. 2 or Seminole.” Tom Fazio
Berkeley Hall’s North Course is a scenic marvel with tranquil lakes, rolling fairways, challenging bunkers and large contoured bent grass greens. Its elevation changed – among the most dramatic in the Lowcountry – and liberal use f native grasses give the North Course a unique beauty unrivaled by any course in the area.
The South Course at Berkeley Hall offers a classic parkland golf experience. Fairways are flanked by dense coastal forests and boldly contoured green complexes are set against a backdrop of the meandering Okatie River, one of the Lowcountry’s most pristine waterways.
